The director admits that he made up considerable stuff in this otherwise engrossing movie, and, significantly, he left out Anne's husband, Prince George, with whom Anne got pregnant at least 17 times. Until 1708, Anne slept with George quite religiously, and in the six years after his death she was fairly infirm.
