Report Card---"Once Upon A Time---In Hollywood".

This is Quentin Tarantino's latest film.
If you don't have a sense of what it was like in Hollywood about 50 years ago, and you don't have
knowledge of what the Manson family's impact was on our culture, then there's nothing to enjoy here.
However, if you're like me, and you have that sense, and you have that knowledge, "Once Upon A Time---In Hollywood" is a great ride.

On to the scoring.

Is it interesting?

Fascinating
A+.

Compelling even?

Often.
A+

Is it good storytelling?

Mostly.
B+.

Is. it well written?

Extremely.
A+.

Is it well cast? Well played?

Up and down the line.  Damian Lewis (from "Billions") does an incredible Steve McQueen impression.
A+.

Did the director put such a personal stamp on it so that no one else could have made it?

Tarantino is one of a kind.
A+.

How long does it take to establish the film's locale and time period?

Immediately.  1969.
A+.

Is it too long? Too short?

For a film that's almost 3 hours, It flew by.
A+. 

Is it believable? Do you care about the characters?.

Yes, and yes.

A+.

Is it predictable?

Don't ever try to outguess Tarantino.
A+.

Do you think about it after you've seen it?

Often

Is it funny?

Often hilarious.
A+.

Would it have been worth the thirteen bucks it would have cost to see it in the movies?

Oh, yes.

Is it impressive?

Truly.
