When "77 Sunset Strip" happened, in 1959, and I was 11, my cousin Michael Rosenthal was also 11.
He lived in Brooklyn, and my family and I lived in Queens.
Occasionally our families visited each other.
Michael and I always got along great.
That summer, Michael and his family showed up.
I don't remember the occasion, but I vividly remember the reaction by two neighboring female contemporaries.
They spent the entire day convinced that Michael was the spitting image of Edd "Kookie" Byrnes.
And they oogled him accordingly.
All day.
I think it's fair to say that Michael loved the attention.
Maybe he was also slightly embarrassed by it.
I wonder if Michael remembers this.
I know I do.
We have remained Facebook friends, and he'll probably read this.
I hope he lets me know.

My books, "Show Runner" and "Show Runner 2" can be found at the Amazon Kindle Store,
along with newer ones, "The Man Is Dead", and "Report Cards".
They are all compilations of blog entries have since been removed from the blog.
So this is the only way you can find them.,
You can search by typing in my name, Cindy Williams, Laverne and Shirley, The Odd Couple, or Happy Days.
Check them out.
You don't need a Kindle machine to download them.
Just get the free app from Kindle, and they can be downloaded to an IPhone, IPad, or Blackberry.
The paperbacks, "Mark Rothman's Essays" and my new novel, "I'm Not Garbo" are not e-books.
But they are available for people without Kindle.
I have many readings and signings lined up for those, and the thing about Kindle is you can't sign one.
If you'd like one of the paperbacks, personally autographed, contact me at macchus999@aol.com.
