Report Card---"The Two Popes".

"The Two Popes" was easily the best Pope movie I saw this year.  I suppose this isn't saying much.
And it isn't.  But it was still very good.

On to the scoring.

Is it interesting?

Yes.

Compelling even?

I didn't find it compelling.

Is it good storytelling?

Yes.

Is. it well written?

Yes.

Is it well cast? Well played?

Jonathan Price and Anthony Hopkins are wonderful to watch.

Did the director put such a personal stamp on it so that no one else could have made it?

I didn't think so.

How long does it take to establish the film's locale and time period?

Immediately.   2012.

A little  long.

Is it believable? Do you care about the characters?.

Yes, and yes.

Is it predictable?

No.  If I had paid more attention to the facts when they happened, it would have been more predictable.

Would it have been worth the thirteen bucks it would have cost to see it in the movies?

Not to me.
