Report Card---"The Laundromat"

"The Laundromat" Is a very inventive exploration into fraudulent tax shelters in the Caribbean.
Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas are our "Tour Guides" and they are wonderful.
The film is quite episodic in nature, but it all holds together quite well.
Meryl Streep is the chief victim, and is great as usual.

On to the scoring.

Is it interesting?

Fascinating

All the time.

Extremely.

Is it well cast? Well played?

Did the director put such a personal stamp on it so that no one else could have made it?

I don't think so, but I also don't think it matters.

How long does it take to establish the film's locale and time period?

Immediately.  A few years ago.

Is it believable? Do you care about the characters?.

Yes, and yes.

Not a bit.

Do you think about it after you've seen it?

Yes.

Would it have been worth the thirteen bucks it would have cost to see it in the movies?

Every time, but it's on Netflix so you don't have to.
